Stevan Pasero Guitar Scores: Rhumba Dee” was written by Stevan Pasero and recorded with ensemble in 2010 on the album called Twelve Shades of Night featuring bassist Sascha Jacobsen, the Musical Art Quintet (string quintet), Felix de Lola (cajon & palmas) and Colin Douglas (drums & percussion). The album features Brazilian, Spanish & American compositions infused with bossa nova, rhumba, flamenco, classical and jazz styles. Afterwards, Stevan performed the work as a solo concert piece and re-recorded a version in 2012, “Rhumba Dee – single,” which was transcribed to sheet music in 2014. The song is set with rhumba rhythm and highlights rasgueado accents and a melody-chord arrangement.

Stevan Pasero is recognized as a important contributor to the guitar repertoire over the past three decades, Mr. Pasero has transcribed numerous symphonic works and composed, arranged and produced records for solo, duo and various ensembles. He has recorded 50 albums of music and his works appear on over 1000 other albums. Pasero performs, composes, and records guitar works in several music idioms. He attended San Francisco State University where he studied musical analysis, harmony and composition, which led to some post-graduate work in transcription and orchestration. Mr. Pasero is owner and principal of four music publishing and distribution companies.
